English Cutlass Hanger Sword 31 1/2" Long with Scabbard is 35" Blade is 26".... 4 " Wide handle   Nice Replica 18th C Antique sword carried during the 1600 and 1700's  this sword was also called a "hanger" the term "Cutlass" wasn't used until the 1800's It was commonly used by officers as a close quarters battle weapon.   All cast brass semi basket hilt with heart shape. Nice tough steel blade with a fuller just like the early version! Great brass and black leather scabbard included.  The antique version can be seen in numerous volumes on the subject.   This piece feels great in your hand nice solid balanced weight.
