12" Long x 6" Wide
A nice reproduction example of a Mcswain minnow trap, this example has Mcswain glass co Jonesboro Ark in raised lettering across the top. It also has raised nobs along the bottom with Roaches Mcswain jr Bait trap pat appl for minnows in the glass alon the bottom side. The lid and handle are a tin or thin metal that can unscrew.
As you can see the piece is the standard shape with holes in the lid and bottom to allow water to flow through.
Traps such as this were placed on stream beds with minnows being forced into the trap then unable to escape through the small holes in the cap.
A great vintage fishing accessory that would look great in any tackle display or on the shelf of a Adirondack style home or camp.
