Antique reproduction glass fly trap. This type of trap was a common household item in the 19th and early 20th centuries for pest control. 

A sweet mixture, such as sugar water or vinegar, was placed in the bottom as bait. 

Flies were lured in through the inverted funnel opening at the base and then became trapped inside the main chamber.
