Reproduction cast iron painted novelty figurine depicting a boy leaning against a fence or tree while a goose approaches from behind. The humorous figural composition is finished in muted cream, tan, red, black, and white tones with an intentionally aged appearance.
The design is based on an older cast iron novelty form known from early 20th-century examples. Similar period pieces were produced as whimsical household and folk-art decorations rather than purely utilitarian objects.
