Charming replica 19th C antique solid brass inkwell.
Each with charming subtle signs of being hand made. The hinged lid swings over the hole for safe keeping.
Inkwells were used as you might imagine to store ink to write with. Someone would dip their writing utensil in the ink before writing. Charming small size on this piece making for a attractive collectable display.
