Ruby-red pressed-glass biscuit or cookie jar in the Mayfair / Open Rose pattern, featuring raised floral bouquets, a paneled and vertically fluted body, and a matching removable lid with a glass knob. The richly colored, translucent glass displays particularly well when illuminated.
The design is based on the Mayfair pattern introduced during the 1930s Depression-glass era. This ruby-red version is a later reproduction of the original pattern.
